I used straight needles to make these and had to sew up the sides, although if you don&#039;t mind knitting with dpn&#039;s then you might want to try that instead to save the sewing! Any sewing saved is good news :)

As for the &#039;purling over 14 thumb sts&#039; I have now amended the pattern to read more clearly that the 14 sts are the ones from the stitch holder, and this process is what partially attaches the previously knitted thumb piece. Thank you for pointing this out as it didn&#039;t make very much sense before!</description>
